Light-Based
Light-based media encompasses digital and analog photography, cyanotypes, projection art, and any other artwork which uses light as its primary medium.
![]() Blind WallDigital photograph | ![]() CyanotypeA cyanotype is a type of image created by spreading a light-reactive solution onto paper, layering light-blocking elements on top, and then exposing the sheet to sunlight until it dries. The areas that have been shaded will dry clear, and the areas exposed to sunlight will dry dark blue. | ![]() Light StencilThis image was created using photosensitive paper, a cardboard stencil, and lace. I layered the elements in a darkroom, exposed the sheet to light, and developed it as I normally would develop a photograph. |
